The protection, not the player count. Both run up to 150 players with proximity voice included, the same panel, and the same automatic updates. Premium Shield puts your server on premium hardware behind always-on DDoS Shield mitigation — for communities that actually get attacked.
Are the voice servers really free?
Yes. Proximity voice servers for The Isle are completely free, and they come with the Primal Voice app plus a custom Isle launcher with overlay. One thing to know before you hand it to your players: voice is recorded and automatically transcribed, and the transcript is stored with each player's SteamID and position where your staff can read it — the full detail is here.
