Primal Hosted rents dedicated servers for The Isle. A Standard server is $80 a month for 150 players, in North America (Dallas) or Europe (Gravelines, France). An Advanced server, with always-on game-firewall DDoS protection, is $130 a month and runs in Singapore. North America Advanced is full right now. Either grade goes to 300 players for $30 a month more. Proximity voice chat is free on every server, and a website plus Discord bot bundle is an optional $50 a month.
What every server comes with
- A dedicated The Isle server. Evrima is ordered self-serve. The Isle: Legacy is set up through support.
- 150 player slots, or 300 for $30 a month more. You pick the size at checkout.
- Automatic setup. The server provisions on its own once payment clears, pulls the current Evrima build, and registers on the in-game server browser.
- Automatic Evrima updates on the correct branch when a patch drops.
- A web control panel with a live console, start, stop and restart, restart schedules, a guarded file editor, and the important Game.ini settings as plain fields.
- DDoS protection. Standard servers sit on dedicated hardware with DDoS filtering. Advanced adds always-on game-firewall protection.
- Free 3D proximity voice for every player, through the Primal Voice app. No caps and no trial clock.
- Support from people who run Isle servers, by email or in our Discord.

Evrima and Legacy
The Isle: Evrima is the current game and our self-serve product. You order it on the order page and it is online without anyone from our side touching it. More about Evrima hosting.
The Isle: Legacy, the 2018 build, is still played and we still host it. It is set up by contacting support rather than through checkout, and it is priced per server. More about Legacy hosting.
Free proximity voice on every server
Players hear the people near them in the game world. Closer is louder, and voices fade with distance. It runs through the Primal Voice app for Windows, which signs in with Steam, finds the server you are on by itself, and adds push-to-talk, noise suppression and an in-game overlay.
It costs nothing for the server owner or the players. One thing to tell your players: voice is recorded and turned into text, and the transcript is stored with the speaker's SteamID and in-game position for your staff to read. The audio itself is not kept. Primal Voice explains it in full, and the proximity voice guide covers servers you host yourself.
The community platform (optional, $50/mo)
Most hosts stop at the game server. If you run a public community, the Website + Discord Bot bundle adds a branded community website at yourname.primalhosted.com or your own domain, a Discord bot, moderation and support tickets. It also switches on these in-game systems at no extra charge:
- Kill feed & death logs. Live killboard and death history.
- Leaderboards & playtime. Rankings and tracked hours for every player.
- In-game economy & shops. Points, balances and player shops.
- Dino shop. Players buy and sell dinos in-game.
- Casino & minigames. Slots, gambling and prize wheels.
- Custom skin system. Players apply custom dino skins.
Neither grade includes the bundle. Add it when your community needs it, or never. Everything the bundle does.
Who runs Primal Hosted
Primal Hosted LLC is a small company with its business address in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The team behind it runs its own Isle communities, Primal Heaven, Noobz and Anarchy, on the same platform it sells. DryReef moved its community onto the platform as a customer. Every panel feature, bot command and voice setting exists because one of those servers needed it.
The company is new: it was formed in 2026, and its domain was registered in July 2026. You can read what customers say on Trustpilot, and a new server can be refunded in full within 72 hours of the first payment.
Is Primal Hosted the right host for you?
It fits well if you run, or are starting, a public community of 50 to 300 players, you want voice chat without setting up Mumble or plugins, and you would rather pay for a server that comes with community tools than assemble them yourself.
Another option may suit you better if you only want a private server for a handful of friends. Hosts that price by slot or RAM are cheaper at 10 to 30 players, and hosting on your own PC costs nothing but hardware and time. The comparison page sets the options side by side.

What is the difference between Standard and Advanced?

No. Instead, a new server can be refunded in full within 72 hours of its first payment. Proximity voice is free permanently, and it is not a trial.
