Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Primal Hosted LLC (“Primal Hosted”, “we”, “us”), the legal publisher of the Service. They govern your use of our hosting platform, community websites (*.primalhosted.com and connected custom domains), our desktop software, and our Discord application and bot (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Primal Hosted provides game-server hosting and community tools — websites, a Discord bot, economy and moderation features, and in-game integrations — to community operators (“Communities”) and their members (“Players”). Features available to you depend on the Community you use and the plan it has purchased.

Accounts & linking

• You may link your Steam and Discord accounts to use certain features. You are responsible for activity under your linked accounts.
• You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and with Steam’s terms, when using those integrations.

Voice chat is recorded

If you use Primal Voice, our in-game proximity voice chat, what you say is recorded and automatically transcribed to text, and the transcript is stored with your SteamID and your in-game position and made available to the staff of the Community whose server you are on. This applies to everyone in voice range, all the time — not only to reported incidents. Using Primal Voice is optional and nothing else in the Service depends on it; if you do not want to be recorded, do not use it. Recording laws differ by state and country, and some require the consent of every participant — by speaking on a Community’s voice channels you consent to this recording, and you must not use Primal Voice to record anyone in a way that is unlawful where you or they are. What is kept and for how long is in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, harass others, or disrupt or abuse the Service or its infrastructure.
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, servers, or the bot, or to circumvent bans or security controls.
• Do not exploit bugs to gain in-game currency, items, or advantages you are not entitled to.

Community operators

Communities configure and operate their own servers, websites, and bot settings, and are responsible for their content, rules, moderation, and how they treat their Players’ data. Primal Hosted is not responsible for a Community’s decisions, content, or conduct.

Payments

All purchases are processed by Stripe. Two different sellers are involved and it matters which one you bought from:

• Hosting plans and add-ons sold by us. Hosting is a monthly subscription billed in advance in US dollars. It renews automatically on the same day each month until cancelled, with no minimum term. You may cancel at any time in the client panel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. A new server can be refunded in full within 72 hours of its first payment; after that, payments including renewals are not refundable. When a subscription ends we suspend the server and delete it 7 days later. The full terms — including failed payments, disputes, and how to get a copy of your data — are in our Billing, Cancellation & Refunds policy, which forms part of these Terms.
• Points, perks and items sold by a Community. Those are the Community’s own sales under its own policy; they are generally final, and refunds are handled per that Community’s policy and applicable law.

Availability & disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Primal Hosted is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, currency, or progress.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. You may stop using the Service and unlink your accounts at any time.

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
